The workbook for Fifth grade enhance the material found in the textbooks. They mainly concentrate on writing skills with some review of verbal skills. It contains many different activities which can be done at school or at home, such as coloring and painting pages; word matches; reading letters and sentences; writing words, letters, and numbers; and answering questions. Some of the activities should be completed at home with a parent to strengthen the relationship between home and school. The objective of the workbook is to reinforce ideas and to continue to develop skills learned in the textbook. It pays special attention to writing practice and free reading. Each of the 24 units in the textbook correspond to one unit in the workbook.
The workbook resembles the textbook in its structure; they are both includes 24 units; 18 present new material and 6 review old material. The first lesson contains pre-reading, the text, vocabulary, and expressions. The second lesson contains after-reading, pre-listening, and after-listening. The third lesson contains grammar. The fourth lesson contains illustrations; cultural notes; and some Quran, a hadith, or a dua.
